DISCOVERING THE BEAT: AN ELECTRONIC MUSIC ODYSSEY
I am Markus Spillner, born in the 1970s and raised in the 80s
and 90s. I have always been fascinated by the development
of electronic music, and since the mid-90s, I have been on a personal mission to create my own music.

After completing a short course at the SAE School of Audio Engineering, I landed my first record deal in 2012.
​
I have released a variety of electronic music under a label
based in San Francisco. I am proud to have had various
releases in the electronic music genre and to have appeared
on numerous compilations.
Since 2016, I have been independently releasing music under the name "HEATWAVE" in the synthwave genre, with several albums and two vinyl releases to my name.
​
Over the years, I have worked on several projects, including "DRUMATIX" and "AMPLIFIED BY NIGHT", the latter of which
I operated with an old friend. Additionally, I have been involved in other music projects, including the deep house project "ANGRY CLOWN PUNCHERS" (ACP) and the
drum and bass/dubstep project "TAPE CRUSHER".

I am always working to improve my skills and music, and I welcome feedback and potential collaborations with other musicians and remixers.
